Meryl is a litigator and a Director in both the Intellectual Property (IP) and Dispute Resolution Departments at one of Singapore’s ‘Big 4’ law firms, Drew & Napier.

Meryl’s has been involved in many complex litigation and arbitrations concerning IP infringement as well as corporate and commercial disputes involving contract, defamation, breach of director’s duties and employment law. Her clients include high net worth individuals, listed companies as well as international and household names in the hospitality, media, eSports and gaming F&B, technology, agriculture, resources and pharmaceutical industries.

Meryl has been repeatedly named as a Next Generation Lawyer in IP by Legal 500, identified as one of 40 bright legal minds in the region under the age of 40 by Asian Legal Business (2019), lauded as an accomplished industry leader under the age of 40 in Prestige Singapore Magazine (2017) and was one of Singapore’s 70 most influential lawyers aged 40 and under by Singapore Business Review (2016).

She is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and sits on the board of EB Impact, a non-profit organisation focused on delivering training and programmes to Asia Pacific’s underserved communities with a focus on generating positive sustainable development impact.

Meryl is also a member of the International Association for the Protection of IP (AIPPI) IP and Green Technology Standing Committee and the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) Circular Economy Interest Group. In this latter capacity, she was one of the co-authors of the SICC’s 2019 Position Paper on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for packaging in Singapore.
