Ruby Rose J. Yusi

Ms. Yusi specializes in taxation, foreign investments, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, banking laws, construction law, and government procurement. She represents clients before administrative agencies such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Bureau of Customs, and the Bureau of Local Government Finance. She also represents clients in local taxing authorities and the tax courts. Ms. Yusi is involved in defending businesses against industry-wide assessments of the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Ms. Yusi also serves as director and Corporate Secretary of various corporations.

She is consistently recognized as one of the leading lawyers in the field of Taxation by the Asia Legal 500, Chambers Global, and the Global Tax Directory.

Now based in Singapore, her 25 years of regional practice experience includes being resident in Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia and Singapore where she specialises in major infrastructure project financing and M&A deals in aviation, banking, insurance, mining, oil and gas, plantations, and property. Hanim is top ranked and recognized across multiple practice areas in the major legal directories and is recognized as one of Financial Times’ ten pioneers of new legal thinking at the Asia-Pacific Innovative Lawyers. She is currently Senior Vice-Chair of the International Bar Association Law Firm Management Committee and Senior Fellow at the CIMB Asean Research Institute (CARI). Recently, Hanim has been selected by the Singapore Academy of Law, as part of an expert think-tank to prepare a white paper on skills needed by legal professionals in the future.

Outside of ZICO Law, Hanim is also a marathoner and sings in a jazz quartet.

Chris has successfully represented clients in more than 1,000 domestic and foreign litigation, commercial arbitration, major investment and capital market projects. The cases she acted in included commercial trials before the Supreme People’s Court. Meryl Koh

Her clients include high net worth individuals, listed companies as well as international and household names in the hospitality, media, eSports and gaming F&B, technology, agriculture, resources and pharmaceutical industries.

Meryl has been repeatedly named as a Next Generation Lawyer in IP by Legal 500, identified as one of 40 bright legal minds in the region under the age of 40 by Asian Legal Business (2019), lauded as an accomplished industry leader under the age of 40 in Prestige Singapore Magazine (2017) and was one of Singapore’s 70 most influential lawyers aged 40 and under by Singapore Business Review (2016).

Meryl is also a member of the International Association for the Protection of IP (AIPPI) IP and Green Technology Standing Committee and the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) Circular Economy Interest Group. In this latter capacity, she was one of the co-authors of the SICC’s 2019 Position Paper on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for packaging in Singapore.

Ira graduated from the University of Indonesia Faculty of Law in 1984, was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law from 1990 to 1991, and attended the Academy of American and International Law in Dallas, Texas, also in 1991.

She is a member of the International Bar Association and the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) and represented the Indonesian jurisdiction of the IPBA from 2002 to 2008.
